We conceived an interactive project in co-creation with WeNew, for the Catarina Outlet of Grupo JHSF, which invited visitors to the space throughout December 2016 to create combinations of sounds, lights and animations in a fully interactive way. Installed inside a reflecting pool in the center of the outlet’s food court, the interactive tree measured 11 meters and was composed of 200 meters of LEDs controlled by 48 interactive mats, with special sensors capable of controlling lights and sounds. Visitors used the rugs to collaboratively create hundreds of combinations of Christmas tunes, lights and colors. The project was developed as a way to transform Christmas into a unique and magical experience, in which the visitors themselves are part of this installation to make it even more special and fun.
